like sick apartments and watches, and cars, um, and clothes and shit that could all go away
and I don't wanna see that stuff go away.
So I'm gonna say a prayer for that stuff. Amen.

We ask for
Your grace tonight, despite our pride.
Your forgiveness, despite our doubt.
Most of all, Lord we ask for
Your love to soothe us through these dark times.
May we face whatever is to come
in Your divine will with courage and open hearts of acceptance.

대사 한 줄도 허투로 쓰지 않고 이 세상의 모든 우스꽝스러운 작태를 비틀어 조롱하는 매운맛 블랙코미디.
말세다 말세다 싶어서 차라리 깔끔하게 끝나버리는게 낫지 않을까 하는 상상 누구나 한번쯤 해봤을 테고.
아담 맥케이는 군말없이(?) 아니 쉴새없이 떠들어대며 지구를 시원하게 날려버린다.
제목이 '룩 업'이 아니라 '돈 룩 업'인게 화룡점정.

티모시 샬라메의 기도는 멸망해 마땅한 세상을 살아가야 하는 모든 현대인의 절규가 아닐까.
