원작 소설을 읽지 않아서인지 여전히 물음표로 남는 대목들이 있었다.

뻔해보이는 장치들이 예상대로 동작하고 끝내 예견된 결말에 이르러 싱겁다는 느낌이 드는데, 곱씹을수록 이 또한 주제의식을 위한 의도적 흐름인 것 같아 오싹해졌다. 

 

이로써 기예르모 원탑 작품 타이틀은 셰이프 오브 워터가 유지.
